Current projects work in progress.

Oddball Windows v.0.02 (3.2MB)

An experimental 3D game where you get to explore a strange abstract world. No real game objective as yet but the landscape and physics shows promise. Idea based on a game I wrote a loooong time ago for the C64 called RED LED.

Status - pre-alpha concept version. Currently using Blitz3D/DirectX but I want to convert it into Blitzmax and use OpenGL. Will be released for Windows, OS X and Linux.

Graviton Windows v.0.10 (4.4MB)

A retro 2D scrolling shoot 'em up game. What you get when you cross elements from Bosconian, Gravitar and Asteroids.

Status - Playable alpha version with 11 levels. 95% finished in Blitz3D using DirectX so Windows only for now.

Qubes Windows v.0.07 (2.6MB)

An original game concept where the object is to clear each level of all the Qubes within a set time. Qubes can be dissolved by bringing them in contact with the floor or by using various powerups which appear during the game.

Status - Complete apart from lack of sound effects.

3DGO

A fun client for the best board game in the world, Go. Plenty of 2D clients already exist but this is the first 3D one I've seen.

Status - Vapourware. 60% finished in Blitz3D. Awaiting BlitzMax 3D and GUI module so I can convert and complete it. Will (eventually) be released for Windows, OS X and Linux.

Kaleido Windows v.0.16 (468KB) Mac OS X v.0.16 (299KB)

Kaleido is a realtime graphic effect thing that should run fine on any reasonably specced machine. Doesn't do much apart from look pretty and saves screens (as if LCD screens needed saving). It does realtime texture manipulation and mixes up particle effects and plenty of 2D alpha layers. No proper preset editor yet but a small amount of user interaction is possible.

Status - Never ending development (it's useful for prototyping graphic effects). Not a proper screensaver yet but can be left to run for a while.

Slide Show Bob Mac OS X v.0.05

A Slide show viewer/editor application. Uses hardware accerelated graphics for extra eye candy appeal.

Status - Useable alpha version. 80% finished in Blitzmax. Will be released for Windows, OS X and Linux.

My first Blitzmax app. Woot. Apart from learning Blitzmax my main motivation for this app was so I could use it for some custom slide show animation I was doing. iPhoto is an excellent application but didn't quite do everything I needed.
